We were super excited to work with TOSA for the first time for our 12th Annual Night Market! Together, we brought over 5000 attendees from all over the Pacific Northwest to enjoy the wonderful food, exciting sights/sounds, and largest Night Market yet!

We invited Taiwanese-American singer Jason Chen to perform at the event as well as local artists, including Husky Wushu. A plethora of games of activities were provided, including balloon shooting, baseball bingo, Mahjong bingo, Taiwanese flag-drawing, the sandbag game, Chinese calligraphy, and a photo booth!

With Night Market staples like bubble tea, Taiwanese sausages, and popcorn chicken, there was no shortage of things to try. Lesser known (but just as delicious) snacks included squid balls, spicy pork w/ garlic dressing, water pan-fried buns, and glutinous oil rice. Together, they provided the perfect balance of familiarity and adventure - and what more could you ask for in a Night Market?

With spirits high, we are super excited for this year's event - our 13th UW Night Market! You can expect more and greater things in store for this year, so stay posted!

Students and community members gather at the annual Night Market to play games, watch performances, and try a variety of different foods including chili-chicken tenders, milk tea, cold noodles, and chicken steak. (UW Daily, 5/20/12)
